Jeopardy Contestant Had Been Training For The Show Since Childhood!
Hey people! We have always known Jeopardy tv show to be one of the most watched game shows on television. But I only came to realize how it impacts people’s lives when I read an article related to a contestant who appeared on the show last week. Reportedly, Matt Kohstedt, a contestant on the episode of Jeopardy that was aired on 12th March 2009, had been watching the show since he was a child. According to Matt, he was introduced to the game show, by his grandmother Deloris Kohstedt, whom he visited most days after school. Matt had, reportedly, been told by his grandmother long ago that he would do quite well on Jeopardy, when the two spent time together playing games and watching Jeopardy. Incidentally, it was Deloris 92nd birthday, on Thursday and what better gift than watching her grandson compete in her favorite game show and see her prophecy come true. So you see, the game show which has been entertaining the audiences for many years has not only been winning the love and affection of fans from different age groups, it has made the younger fans follow a dream of someday being on the show which they have been watching from their childhood.
Jeopardy is quite different from the other game shows of its genre. This quiz show, that features a host of topics such as history, literature, pop culture, science, entertainment and even animation, has been adapted internationally. The unique format of the quiz, in which the answers are provided while the contestants have to come up with the questions for the same, has made Jeopardy one of the most successful game shows in the history of American Television. The show which is currently airing its Season 44, has already got the green signal to remain on air till at lest 2011-2012. Although, the creator of the show Merv Griffin died nearly two years back, the show has not ceased to increase its audience with every new season. With each passing year, more and more people have become hooked to the game show out of which a mjority dreams of getting on the show themselves. Well, frankly I also dream about the same and I am sure that some day I will make it to Jeopardy!
